What's your dream car? (Photos inside!)

Mmmm, good thread!

I like your choice, but mine is a bit on the cheaper side. :p

:heart:1993 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo:heart:

Aww, it's so cute!!

Yeah, I know the Phantom is expensive. At least I didn't ask for a Bugatti Veyron. *laughs* They are nice though, check it out!

It's an 18 cylinder. It has four turbochargers, 1001 horsepower engine...Said to be the fastest car in the world, and it costs about one and a half mil.

That's hot.

The Ford GT40.

Dang, as soon as I saw that car, for some reason "Greased Lightning" popped into my head.

Go, Greased Lightning, you're burnin' up the quarter mile!
Greased Lightning, go Greased Lightning!
Go, Greased Lightning, you're coastin' through the heat lap trial!
Greased Lightning, go Greased Lightning!
You are Supreme, the chicks'll cream, for Greased Lightning!

That is a freaking ADORABLE car. I love it!

Oh yeah, I've heard and read about the Veyron. I'll take one of those too.

And while we're at it...

Those too. Yes, I love Nissans.

The Nissan GT-R has cute headlights! I like that!

I love Aston Martins, I don't think a single person in town has one.

I don't care for the wheels on that particular pic, but I still like the car. Fastest street car America ever made (if I remember correctly).

Ariel Atom 2

You could purchase a newer used model for around what a Corvette costs, and it will eat the majority of the "supercars" out there for lunch on the slalom, all while being powered by a lil ole normally aspirated Honda inline-4.

The car appeals to the deep-seated car geek in me. Utter, minimalist perfection.

I wouldn't own one though. Not worth the money. No current production car is. Car geek or not, a car is a car. When you've seen as many wrecked cars as I have, and written off the thousands of shiny cars I've written off in my career, they don't mean as much. I love looking at them, reading about them, etc, but I wouldn't invest in one.

That said, when I walked up to the sweetest little 78' Datsun 280Z two weeks ago, just smashed to flinders, it broke my heart. A car may be just a car, but history is something else entirely. So if you want to talk dream cars of the older variety, I'm there. Anything made today? Not so much. They're replaceable. A '55 Mercedes 550SL is not. Nor is a '65 Datsun Fairlady, or an Alpine Tiger, or a deTomaso Pantera with a Cleveland mill, or a...

You get my point.

That's not a car, its a go kart :p

Then make mine a go-kart.

My car dreams are not populated with miles of useless and hard to clean leather seating surfaces, nor enough backseat leg room to host a croquet match. They are full of twisty roads scattered with red and gold fallen leaves, hairpin turns and knuckles tight-lashed to the wheel. Tires chirp and gears whine, clutches are heavy, and the tach needle feather light.

I dream not in colour, but in RPM's.

I kinda like that, isn't it cute? Extremely square...you're totally right. I can't imagine it to be very aerodynamically (am I spelling that right?!) sound, but it looks so damn stylin'!

I hate the modern cars that look like they were designed to slide apologetically through the atmosphere like lozenges.

GIve me something like a 85 monte carlo.

*chuckles* Good visual I got there. The cough drop car! Now, with honey and vitamin C!
