I thought it was bought by Anheuser? I'm not sure, but you're right they were bought by somebody. Wherever they make it they will make sure the water is chemically treated to be like the original. For example, Sam Adams is no longer brewed in Boston. Their brewing facilities are in Pennsylvania and Ohio, but they treat all the water to replicate the original Boston city water first used to brew Sam Adams Boston Lager so the flavor will remain the same no matter where they make it. I would expect anyone who bought Goose Island to do the same thing. Although to be fair I'm not a huge fan of Goose Island, so they could probably change something and I wouldn't really notice.
