LOUISVILLE, Ky. - A former Louisville priest convicted of rape was sentenced to five years on probation Thursday. In March, Bruce Ewing was on trial for raping and sodomizing a teenage girl while he was a priest at St. Vincent Depaul in the mid-seventies.

A jury found Ewing guilty of one charge of rape, but acquitted him on two counts of sodomy.

The prosecution asked for a 3-year prison sentence for Ewing and the victim said she was disappointed.


I mean, the guy was convicted. I didn't know you could rape someone and get probation. I must be such an innocent.

Unfortunately, as the OJ trial demonstrated, law is not about justice, but about who has the best lawyer.

I mean, the guy was convicted. I didn't know you could rape someone and get probation. I must be such an innocent.

Unfortunately, some judges are idiots. Is there some way he could be impeached or voted out of office?

The best solution would be for the friends and relatives of the victim to catch up with Ewing some night and stomp him into little pieces.
