Massachusetts authorities released a man on bail who was accused of sexually abusing his stepdaughter. He allegedly killed her on Thursday before turning the gun on himself, police said.

Juliano Santana, 49, was released from jail on a $30,000 cash bond in 2021 after being charged with six counts of aggravated rape of a child. The child in this case was his stepdaughter who was 13 years of age at the time.

Santana was ordered by a judge to wear an ankle monitor and have no contact with the victim or anyone under the age of 18 per condition of release, court documents show. The victim was granted a restraining order and the judge set his trial date for July 29, 2024.

On Thursday, Juliano Santana abducted his stepdaughter while she was walking on Great Road near Acton after school. The victim's mother reported her daughter missing to police around 4 pm. Authorities tracked Santana's location via his GPS ankle monitoring device, according to the Middlesex District Attorney.

The situation would appear so from RG's perspective. But we are long past the threat stage. The progressives are at the end of the road of progress. Centuries of progressive achievement have reinforced progressive belief, so letting that go is not easily done. So they continue trying to make more progress with the result of damaging what they have achieved, like Microsoft still trying to make a better Windows but making it worse. They will eventually be rejected, and then we can start the long process of salvaging what is worth keeping, from the conservatives, progressives, and everyone else. We'll back up a little bit, look around, and then start in a new direction.
