I'm not entirely certain. But I think it has to do with being a taboo. It's not as "dirty" as scat might be (no offense to anyone into that), but it is certainly against societal "norms".

The attraction is due to it being taboo as you said I think, but also because when your in the midst of having sex....everything warm and wet seems to be attractive.
