What's the absolute worst trait you could have in an S.O.?

1)Someone who was usually loving and sweet but who would beat you if angry.

2)A non-violent but constant drunk.

3)Someone who loved you and was never violent but hemmoraged money.

4)Someone responsible, non-violent, and sober who made it clear everyday they hated you.

All of the above. Yuck, what a list.

I'd have to choose irresponsible or drunken.

Well, since I had to pick one, I went with violent.
Its possible to work through the others, but once an abuser always an abuser...

Alchoholics never really stop being alchoholics. Are you sure someone who is violent is so truely beyond any hope of redemption?

More so than hateful hmm?
Definietly!!!
If hes hateful. then I can still leave him after the problem arises, and thats it..( I know its not that simple, but you know what I mean silly)
But once he hits you, that opens a whole ugle can of worms...

How about indifferent?

Or senile? Or comatose?

I bet that could hurt more than than violence. Emotional scars are so hard to heal.

The women's resource center used to run classes that possed the question" Would yoou rather be run over by a steam roller, or eaten by ants?"

The correct answer is "Neither. I prefer not to put up with that."

Well Silly, that’s a difficult one.
For example, I drink more nights out of the week than I refrain. Does this make me an alcoholic?
And when I drink, I get more personable, more caring, and pretty much all around a more likeable person.
But my father….he was definitely an alcoholic. Very violent… When I was little, he would have finished at least one bottle of whisky, and already started on another by the time I got home from school….
If he had been my husband, I would have left him straight off…
(I know that hindsight is 20/20, but you know….)
So just what are the parameters of your question?

Just someone who has too be in a continual state of being sloshed. Can't be trusted to stay sober for any reason, is too drunk for sex most nights, always heads straight to the bar, and is chronically embarrassing/disgusting with their behaviour.

I think violent is the worse. I don't think
anthig can compare to that.

If he its me then he's already showing me he doesn't hold me in very high esteem.

Is "continually sloshed" equated with violent?
If he was what you elude, but not violent, I would try to work through it, to a point...

Hateful....because with that it's not really possible to have genuine good qualities....
