I download tons of movies--watch them once and then delete before the thought police break down the door with breach of copyright sub poenas so hard to pinpoint one but

COLD MOUNTAIN

very slow start and the battle scenes are so murky you only hear the screams without seing who's doing what to whom

but it exposes a less known aspect of the Civil War - how people turn on their own - how there's always that residue which uses temporary anarchy to indulge their psychoses (the Home Guard and its fellow travelers)

Picnic at Hanging Rock is a great period Australian film which I rewatched last week

Open Range with Kevin Costner and Robert Duvall is one I somehow missed when it first came around but caught last month - don't usually like soppy romances onscreen (real romance doesn't have to be soppy) but it worked in this film because it was so underplayed and hesitant

Paycheck

I like the fact that the director made you think about the items and what they were going to be used for. I thought it was a fun movie.

What do you mean "after?" I wanted to hump her before, &, after, watching that movie. :D The last one I really enjoyed was Harry Potter & The Prisoner of Azkaban.

Spider-Man 2, and...man, I've got some catching up to do!
(Then again, maybe I should just skip to "Alien vs. Predator"!)

I don't go to the theater much, but the last good movie I saw there was The Big Fish.

I rented The School of Rock and watched in about 10 times.....it's frickin hilarious.

well, yeah, but she looked really good in that movie.

Cold Mountain was really good. I've always had a soft spot (or is that a hard spot) for Nicole Kidman. Tom Cruise was out of his mind to leave her.

Bourne Supremacy was better than I thought it would be and I really enjoyed it. I don't think that Matt Damon is as good a "Jason Bourne" as others might be, the the story is full of action and adventure. To defend my comments: Jason Bourne is full of turmoil and angst at his memory flashes. Although the "flashbacks" try to portray this, the rest of the "acting" doesn't show it very well. He's a stoic in a role that should have some emotion.

I Robot followed by Dodgeball.

Yeah, Dodgeball was funny, Ben Stiller... it was odd to see him acting that way...

I haven't seen 1Robot though.

Prisoner of Azkaban was really very good. I didn't get into the Harry Potter movies when they came out. I see the first one on t.v, then I watched the second... Chamber of secrets, and had to see the next one.

I loved that chick in it. She was cool. :)

I just watched Kill Bill Vol. 1. It was a fucking bloodbath from beginning to end, but I loved it. Uma kicks ass!

Kill Bill vol 2 is really good too, not as much action but still an excellent movie worth seeing. Uma is kicking ass in this one too!

The Village ...... don't waste your money!!!!!!

I, Robot ..... Not even close to the book, but lots of fun!

Badder Santa. Thornton was perfect for the role.
Saw Big Fish, didn't live up to my expectations. DeVito as wolfman was funny.

have seen Kill Bill II

but not I --though I have it here as a AVI file

i try to avoid watching the K/Bill series while eating though:)

I just addeed The Recruit (Al Pacino/Colin Farrell and a woman called Moynahan [knew she must have been Irish since she triggered deep atavistic race memory)

this thread is giving me lots of new titles to download--I can never remember all the good flicks until people remind me

I just saw Spiderman 2 and The Bourne Supremacy, at the drive-in last night....Maybe it was just being at the drive-in that made them so much more enjoyable, but I say two thumbs up on both accounts....
