Last time I did this i got tons of good tips for films to download--d/loaded several and enjoyed some
SLING BLADE - sort of quiet and uneventful and cerebral--this is a good movie to watch when you're drinking at 4:17am and there is zero shit on TV - it's your last hope so it fills the void until the 6 o\clock news
ROAD TO PERDITION--totally fucking brilliant - tom Hanks in a late 20s early 30s monchrome plus sepia tone - two lane blacktop right out to the horizon with not even a Burma shave billboard - those endless indiana fields
PICNIC AT HANGING ROCK - most of you don't know this one--it's about an australian private school (Appleby College) at which a valentine's picnic to "Hanging Rock" resulted in three girls disappearing off the face of the earth and never being found--exquisite cinematography - lesbians and bisexual women will adore this period film
SNOW WALKER - a hokey canadian film currently recent at video stores--the Inuit (eskimos) act Ok but the whites are hopeless
INTOLERABLE CRUELTY/Geo Clooney--the closest american cinema gets to monty pything--well worth a bottle of merlot and a pizza
I know I don't post sexy threads or heavy troll threads--but judging by my observations of LIT there are not only some normal people who--between orgasms have other agendas--but also lurkers who are low key
so maybe threads like this are useful
OPEN RANGE - a huge soft tone modern western with robert duvall and that kid from miami vice or from dances with wolves--I get them mixed up
the cinematography is slow and easy and the good gys win
I can't remember them all right this minute but another Austrlaian film that you should search the ends of the earth for is WALKABOUT
again not that many people know about it--watch it and then talk to me
