I am asked frequently by fellow Litsters if they could call me. I always refuse because I am so bashful on the phone. I get tongue-tied and sometimes I can't speak at all. I just freeze up.

What the fuck am I supposed to do? I want to talk to people, but I just can't make the words come out.

Advice??

Just be yourself, and if they care about ya, even as friends, they will understand. :)

If they are truly interseted in knowing YOU they will be ok with your shyness and be able to make you feel comfortable.

Just let them know you are a little shy and they will give you some lee way. Then just take deep breathes and make sure you know what to say before you start.

It's a bit difficult to go with the flow of conversation when all I can do is sit on the other end and listen. I get very anxious.

After you laugh a couple of times cuz they might be nervous too you will be fine.

Babe, let me call you up. I'll make you feel relaxed. Just the way my massaging hands will feel on your body...

:)

Find a couple people you want to talk to and arrange a three way. That way they can carry the conversation when you get tongue tied, and you won't feel pressured.

See your sig line - that's me. I much more comfortable meeting someone in person than talking over the phone.

I try to tell myself that I CAN do this, but then I my voice freezes up and nothing comes out!

Honey, no need to speak. Just sit back and relax and let Shingen take care of everything for you...

:)

Okay - I talk on the phone all day at work - it's par t of my job. I have no problem with it. I know how to asnwer all questions or at last where to refer them to.

Personal calls are different. There are times I don't answer my phone at home because I'm scared shitless.
