What's in a name?

During my personal journey of self discovery, I've come to realize that I am a 'switch'. Now this brings up an interesting conflict. I've either been referred to as Ma'am, Mistress, sub, or slave. But is there a title of address that would be correct for someone caught on the fence? I'm better understanding my nature, but I need to label it somehow for my own benefit.

Why not M'am/Mistress/whatever when topping, and sub/slave/whatever when bottoming?

I go with "Miss," personally. "Ma'am" makes me feel old, and "Mistress" just seems stupid. (Don't even get me started on "Princess" and "Goddess" and the like.) Some people like "Ms." instead of "Miss," too, but I admit that I'm extremely vain and trying to preserve the illusion of youth for as long as possible.

I actually don't insist on titles at all, though. I'd just as soon someone call me by my name as anything else. "Miss" is for bottom-y type people who just HAVE to call me something, LOL.

I'm usually "pet" to my Domly one. He has various other things he calls me, too. "Pet" is just the default.
