What's in a name change??

Of late I have been thinking of changing my Lit nom de plume. I noticed mention of it in some other threads and I think there was some mention of being able to at a certain number of posts?

Anyway, I was thinking of some names that I might like that would describe me better than Shy Tall Guy. What do you think? Feel free to suggest some.

Naughty Boy : Describes me in many ways (especially my inner child) and goes well with my current Av (which I think is me and I really like). But it seems that three members already have that name and variations of it. Also, it might lead some to think I like to get spankings, when I actuallity I would prefer to give them. I would really like a variation on this if someone could think of one.

How about Wayward Child or Wayward Waif or Contrary Child or Obstinate One? I guess I am trying to convey my rebelious nature.

What do you think? This your chance - pick a new name for Shy Tall Guy! The prize is a hug from me if we ever get to meet in person - a virtual hug if not.

At 1000 posts you can give yourself a TITLE where it now says "really experienced" or "literotic guru", like sexy-girl says "I used to be nice", but to change your name you'd need to talk to Laurel or Manu, I think....

Well whatever it takes - eventually I want to change my name. But I want to give it some thought and take suggestions so I don't have to bug Lavender or Manu again.

If you do change, I'm glad to see you will kept some reference to STG so we know who you are

Thanks - while I think I am that (yeah - a little cute maybe), I think the name STG limits me; most people have said I am not really shy at all - and that is kind of true in most situations. Also, just as others don't really want to be known by their physical characteristics, instead wanting to be known for their "inner" person - I kind of want that too.

I think of myself as kind of an iconolcast - but not really, as kind of a heretic in a way, but that really isn't it either. Rebelious in a number of ways, wayward, sometimes obstinate and so on. So I would like a name to reflect that part of me more than one little part of me (being shy or being tall) - neither of which is my true inner self once people get to know me.

I think my other characteristics come through in my posts - and I kind of want my screen name to reflect that. I have also found that I have changed a bit since I have been here; I have shed a lot of my reluctance to express my views, passions, quirks and kinks - I have become comfortable with them. I am displaying more of my humor - such as it is. In short, I probably feel more at home here than just about any other place because I can be me.

So - I want a name that is more me.

I know that - but I am not changing my name to change my personality - I am changing my name to better reflect my personality. My current name was chosen without much thought, and now I regret that it doesn't really reflect who I am.

Yeah - I have to be careful not to give the wrong impression. I am leaning towards "Impudent Scamp" - "Insolent" isn't quite right.

I vote for keeping Shy Tall Guy. That name embodies everything that you have conveyed about yourself here, not just that you are shy, tall, and male.

Also, remember that practically every name around this place gets shortened. You're already STG. You go for one of these other long names, and you could very well be "Imp" for the remainder of your days.

And simply add Impudent Scamp when you have enough posts to do so. You may have chosen your name without much thought, but it reflects you more than you think it does.
