What's for Dinner..............

If only I could still go with shrimp - recently developed an allergy, sigh...

But it all sounds really good, smack! (of the lippy, gastronomic kind, LOL)

If you're feeling brave, you can add peeled, diced tomatoes, or change up the spices you add to the rice and go with some seafood, like shrimp, or even use the rice as a side for some grilled salmon, swap out asparagus for the broccoli, you get the idea...

(good god, I'm turning into a foodie...)

Hmmm, steak, sauteed in a tad of beef stock on a bed of chopped tomatoes, onions and mushrooms with mixed herbs (rosemary, majoram, thymes and basil), black pepper, sweet chillie sauce, worcestershire sauce, tabasco sauce, paprika powder and served with sliced potatoes lightly baked in a frypan with 1/2 teaspoon olive oil, mixed herbs, onions, chopped ham, black pepper and steamed broccoli....so far tastes delicious.

That soup SubKekiLee posted in another thread. Holy crap is that good.

There's a couple ladies here that I wouldn't mind dining with ;)

i'm eating at Catalina's house!

LOL, wish you could have joined us, it was delicious...and cleared my sinuses and warmed me on a night when even the cats have been feeling the cold.:D I should just experiment and thrown what strikes my fancy in more often.

One of these days I'll be in A-Dam, and then I'll take you up on you offer! ;)

Whatever my husband is making or I make if I don't like what he cooks.

*shrugs*

"v" made an interresting dish tonight. she called it "Italian Chili". Hot italian sausage, tomato base of some sort, stewed tomatos, chunks of zuchini, garlic, onions, etc. Salt, pepper, and parmesan to taste. It really did come out like a chili with an Italian flavour. It was really tasty.

when I asked where it came from apparently she just sort of made it up. she had two recipes, thought thye would mix well, and took out the bits she didn't like.

Good stuff =)

My adorable thoughtful son brought me home Chinese Combination Won Ton Soup for dinner last night. I was ravenous, hadn't eaten all day. It was perfection. Barely made it from the container to a bowl

You're supposed to put it in a bowl instead of snarfing it right out of the container? You're just so edjamacational, Rebecca.

I'm not sure, but I'm about to go find out. Probably pretty much the same as always, unless I get adventurous.

You brat Miss Snowy, I don't knoooooooow ( whining tone ) I don't like eating food out of plastic containers. Perhaps you have cool ones in Canada, here they are really iccck. Plus the portions are too large for single serves.

Tonights beyond fabulous offering was grilled tomatoes with tons of black pepper on toast.

I am trying to use up the remnants of fresh produce before our departure, it's going to be a few very basic food days. Most likely tomato 'surprise' twice a day at this rate . I am not to blame, someone else brought home another bag of tomatoes just when I though I had been miss clever and run stock down to just a few.

Last night it was dinner made by my Hunny... and it was ready when I got home a pasta and sauce type dish it was YUMMY
