You are not drinking wine from a tumbler, do you?
I have things to use up so I made a lunch tonight to save time for the morning.
The brown things are inarizushi which is sushi rice stuffed into seasoned bags of fried tofu. There's egg salad over spinach, tomato salad and ham. I'll probably add some melon separately for a snack.
You mean how dod you "built" it.![]()

Ummm... that would probably work as well.
She'll get the gist![]()
How do you make, close up and fry tofu bags?
This is sooooo frustrating. I had a great post with lots of helpful links and my phone just fucked me.
http://www.justonecookbook.com/inarizushi/ <- this is a good explanation and tutorial.
I used aburaage that was already seasoned because the frozen stuff here is very poor quality. It comes ready to be stuffed with sushi rice so it's not a hassle. The last time I made my own it came out ok but without good base ingredients there's only so much that can be done.
Looking it up, I did find a great tutorial for making my own, so I think I will have to try it considering the frozen stuff just isn't up to standard.

Ooook! So you fry it first, then stuff it. I was thinking stuff and then fry, so was wondering how in the world you kept it shut. Also, when they flipped it over in the 2nd link that was very enlightening
That was perfect, thanks![]()
Glad it helped.![]()
I have some inari age left so I'm making kitsune udon tonight. I also picked up some fish cakes, I haven't had fish cakes in a long time. @_@ I also purchased narutomaki, which looks really neat.

The radishes are quite addicting, I just bought two batches to cook.Udon is? Are? So wonderfully comforting a noodle.
Btw, I am not sure I ever reported back that the radishes are delicious. I Could eat them everyday at the moment.
They look sweet, but that could just be the nose
I'm guessing they are savoury. Yes?

Roasted harissa coated eggplant and couscous with red and yellow bellpepper, mint and basil.
This looks amazing.![]()

Thanks. It turned out a lot better than I expected. I just put together almost everything I could find in the fridge that wasn't butter, jam or cheese, so it was a nice surprise when I realized it actually looks and tastes like a planned meal.

That looks awesome, Seela!

I'm not sure how I feel about this, however
My first thought is.. Eewwwww.
My second one is.. Hmmm.. now I want to try it. However, I only like homemade tomato soup (not canned) so this would take forever, I'll probably never get to it

It seems interesting, I wonder if it's one of those things that sounds odd and disgusting but turns out decidedly palatable.;;
Also, does anyone have any honey heavy recipes? I have a ton of honey I can use right now.
