What's cookin', good lookin'? Part II

Yes, it is too salty. I mean, you marinate the steak in soy sauce, then you salt the steak, you have soy sauce in the dressing and then you are supposed to salt the salad.

:D

If you have bottles like these:

then your soy sauce is already Japanese soy sauce - Koikuchi soy sauce, to be more exact. Getting a different Japanese one might get you an even saltier one.

Cut down the soy sauce in the dressing and don't add any extra salt for the steak or salad.

Less soy sauce it is.
Thanks!

We had it tonight! Its very morish, but i am excited to have leftovers. Its so easy too!

I'm glad that the leftovers excite you. They may even taste better. :)

Tonight, I had some family over, and I fed them corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, carrots and turnips. They all left happy. :)

You could also try to find the "less sodium" one, but as far as I know, it's only produced for the US market.

Yes, this is what I meant by light.
I didn't know it was only available here.
Not surprised by that, though...

That's even better actually. Would be nice with better control over saltiness in other recipes too.

It seems like we should be able to get it here, so I'll take the blinders off when shopping and see what's out there.

At the time the picture was taken: raw. The last picture shows the baked state.

Ok, I was wondering.
Some people like raw zucchini, but I have never seen the appeal. Cut into ribbons or rounds and cooked so there is still crunch left to it, yum.

I don't even like it cooked. :D

But it's an awesome low calories filler that goes well with basically everything and adds a nice green color without being as bitter as green bell pepper.

Thank you. :)

I'm kind of proud that I guessed about half the ingredients myself just looking at it But now that I know what's in it, it looks even better! :rose:

Also, I have three words for y'all concerning zucchini: Battered and fried.

Zucchini, battered and fried is very much childhood summer for me. We used to get that instead of meat sometimes.
I didn't love it much then, but I always loved the smell of it cooking.

Kind of sends the low calorie thing out the window though.:D

Grilled zucchini is one of my favourites.

I will hopefully finish the tomato soup. If I do, there may be a picture.

Soup and sandwiches came out really great tonight. No link, not sure how that works.
