What's cookin', good lookin'? Part II

Attempting sourdough bread again. We shall see.

Now I'm thinking of making some cake pops.

Our big holiday/day off meal today was a big Swiss, mushroom, bacon burger after a late brunch of egg, bacon and cheese biscuit sandwiches (the home version of Mickey D's!)

Tomorrow I am having a cheeseburger salad and for dinner, shrimp and mixed veggies. Cherries. Tons of water.

What, pray tell, is a cheeseburger salad? What comes to mind is a two-foot tall stack of burger patties and cheese with a tomato slice and some lettuce but I could be off the mark.

LOL!
It’s mixed greens with a cheeseburger, grilled onion and/or mushroom, pickles, sliced tomato.
You don’t need dressing because of the burger and the onions.

So, basically Five Guys but without the bun. Cool, but I think I would want to add some jalapenos, giardinera, and maybe some pulled pork. ;)

Steamed chicken and coriander mandu, test run for next weekend. It wasn't a success...

Korean-ish stuff.

Bulgogi (beef)
Tteokbokki (rice cake dish)
Gaji-namul (eggplant dish)
Oi muchim (cucumber dish)
Two types of mandu (chicken and duck dumplings)
Ssamjang (dipping sauce)
Kimchi
Rice

A slab of skirt that I marinated is on a slow cook, 6-7 hours, paired with slow roasted potatoes and parsnips. A pleasant Sunday evening dinner.

Nice! Slow cooking is underrated, often producing great results. I often do a chunk of pork shoulder in the smoker. Pulled pork on a sandwich is a gastronomic orgasm!

Ham and veggies

Homemade lowcarb pizza for dinner

21 carbs total for the 3 slices that I ate.

Now I'm miserable because I rarely eat that much in one sitting. But it was so good!
