Besides another human, and besides basic survival items (food, tools, water filtration, etc.), and besides something to get you rescued - what would you want with you on a desert island.

Please list in order of what is most important to you.

Literature? A pet? A toy? A musical instrument? A dildo/vibrator?

What?

Oh, dear God.

I was typing "A boat" just as PC responded.

Please don't tell me I think like him. Please, please, please.

*sob*

;)

I would want "The Stand", Stephen King. 1100 pages that I can read over and over again. Not only would the book keep my occupied, I could certainly relate to some of the characters.

Toilet paper. Leaves don't quite do it for me!

A bottle of my guy's cologne.

A few cartons on Newport Box 100's (matches or lighter included) and a few cases of Mountain Dew.

Sunscreen

And a Leatherman (the knife, NOT the Village People singer - that way I could finally find out what the hell all those attachments do (again, the knife, NOT the Village People singer!))

Damn, I'm not stalking fast enough.

*sigh*

I was brushing my teeth. There was this bad, bad taste in my mouth.

A dog, just so i don't have to talk to a vollyball :)
a bunch of books
a carveing knife to sculpt things so i wont' go nuts
pencils and papper so i don't go nuts

The whole set of Piers Anthony's Xanth series and a lifetime supply of Mt. Dew

Books I've started but haven't had a chance to finish, such as War and Peace and Anna Karenina. My fave book, Sense and Sensibility and music.

It wasn't Bob was it? All the women tell me he's tasty. Oh...God...not Yayati!

Jealous?

Alright, alright. *sigh*

You can be next...

Just remember that I'm on a schedule here.

You get 30 seconds. Tops.

One of my all-time favorite books too, MissTaken. There aren't many books I want to read again and a again. I used to read it about once a year, but it's been many years since I've taken it down off the shelf now.

I would require this;

1.a decent sharp knife
2.some sandals
3.a ball of twine
4.a good piece of wood to make a bow
5.a fishing pole.
6.some decent rope

Now as to what I would want;

1. the whole Straight Dope series books by Cecil Adams

I could survive on that.

Here is my list:

A ruggedized lightweight laptop computer with a solar panel, speakers, replacement batteries, good headphones, a number of CDs contained various works of literature (including erotic literature), art (including erotic), music and various apps.

A musical instrument - probably some sort of flute.

A rugged pen and a good notebook of paper.

A soccer ball and pump.

BTW, such things as knives, tools, sunscreen, basic survival items, etc. are assumed to already be there. the purpose of the thread is get people to think about basic non-survival items they would want and share them with ohers.

I have too many favorite books, but at least have three with me.

Chocolate

Pepsi

Cassidy,

Is it any good? I have been a bit disappointed with his books lately.
