I voted "Other"; I would pay off my bills just so once in my life I would be totally solvent and debt free, then I would invest the rest for my retirement.

I would love to do some overseas travel on motorcycles, but there wouldn't be enough left to retire on and still travel. Up that amount to about $500k and I could, pay off my debt, live off the interest, retire and do some traveling.

100K (assuming this is post-taxes) would be enough to cover my law school debt and put Mr. Mischka through graduate school as a full-time student. Right now he's working while I'm in school, and doesn't plan on starting grad school until I finish law school next year, and only then on a part-time basis. The extra cash would give him the freedom to choose to return to school on a full time basis.

Something similar to this was a real life scenario for me.
What I really did:

I bought a new car. I would have anyway, it was "time."

I bought an expensive piece of jewelry as a reward to myself for several years of Hell that it took to get to the point of celebration.

I paid off the rest of my mortgage, which I'd already paid down to almost nothing anyway.

I gave a certain % to church and additional to other favorite charities. That felt good.

I took some of my relatives to a very expensive restaurant to celebrate and made sure no one had menus with prices listed. My dad's face was priceless.

I took a nice vacation.

I invested the rest.

Half would go in the bank faster than you could count the zeros.

The other half would be split between several things.
-A new (sensible) car. VW Bug, or Saturn.
- A nice long summer vacation with my brothers, and other close friends. (Including the international ones.) Big expense, but the memories would be worth it, and I would still fly cheap.
- A condo, or some other form of housing that I could own, and furniture.
