I have been trading erotic Email with someone in my town. We are both married and plan to stay that way. He knows nothing about me except for my description, and the picture that does not show my face. I know all about him where he works... takes his kids to swim meets etc. If you were me, would you try to go someplace where you could get a good look at him, just out of curiosity? If you did could you resist telling or at least droping hints about who you are?

I would SO much want to look. DON'T DO IT THOUGH. Firstly, even if you don't tell him who you are then and there, eventually you would let something slip in one of your emails. Secondly, fantasy is often better than the reality. Thirdly, you can never really be sure that he is no threat to you or your family. Keep it fun. Keep it safe. Keep it separate from your real life. Can I read your steamy emails? Huh? Huh? LOL. Take care.

Well, maybe I'm crazy but

I would do it. I would go and look as much as I could without being too obvious. I would want to find out as much as possible and then keep it in mind in case I ever need to refer to it. Could come in handy during on-line flirts when you say "My favorite kind of shirt is" and then describe the type he was wearing. That makes a guy feel more important.

I would not reveal myself there at all. But if I was willing to gamble a little I might drop occasional hints as time goes by in my emails. Keeps him guessing...guys will stay longer.

The shirt suggestion would be sort of neat, but I don't agree with the dropping hints that you might have seen him. This could freak him out and come off as a little obsessive (read stalking) on your part, even if you weren't. If you want to look then look but don't introduce yourself. People don't like being blindsided. Makes them feel vulnerable.
