... about Lit to improve it? (I'm talking constructive suggestions for the site.)
Me? Here's a short list:
Me? Here's a short list:
- On the profile page, Submissions tab, I'd like the H (and E and W) to appear on the LEFT side of the descriptions as opposed to the RIGHT. Makes it easier on the eyes, I think.
- I'd like poetry submissions to have description fields, too.
- The ratings should appear on the Submissions index page as well.
- Under the Favorites tab there should be a display of all those Litizens who've added you (or one of your stories or poems) to their favorites. Share the love, baby!
- There should be some way to delineate contest entries on your Submissions index page.
- Chain stories should each have a master index page that includes a blurb about how to participate and a link back to the discussion thread.
- The "View Submissions" page (where you check your scores & PCs -- not the one readers see), should include a direct link to the stories/poems. Currently, if you spot a problem with the voting (troll attack, etc.) you have to find the link to the story/poem in order to report it in the manner Laurel has instructed. A link to "report problems" on the "View Submissions" page would accomplish the same thing.
- A breakdown of the voting should also show on the "View Submissions" page.
- Images and audio files for illustrated/audio submissions should be uploadable via the submission form (instead of having to send as an e-mail attachment).
- The forums should allow the attachment of small audio and PDF files.
- The date of submission, score, number AND type (i.e., fifteen 5s, six 4s, ...) of votes, and whether it's a contest entry, winner, or editor's choice should appear in an "info" box at the top of each story/poem.
- I'd like for there to be a way to cross-categorize stories. For example, a primary category plus one or two secondary categories (if needed). It would be especially helpful on New and Top Lists.

I know, I know. Nit-fucking-picky. Can't help it. I want Lit to be the best it can be.
