What would my HS English teacher think of me now?

Growing up, I was always a math/science prodigy. I also had rather bad handwriting, and possibly a low grade reading disorder. So, throughout school I was convinced that I had no talent in English, but was content with my math and science.

High school didn't change anything, as I had a string of English teachers who were more concerned with correcting grammar and fostering English technicians than with the art and substance of writing.

My AP English teacher, senior year, changed that. She actually got me excited about reading poems, and she praised my writing skills. Without her, I might still have written, but I never would have shared it with anyone.

Anyway, I've heard about teachers who provided the encouragement a student needed to get out of the mire and excel. In my case, I was already excelling, and more, but in some aspects I was still stunted.

So, in part this thread is a thank-you to her, and to all the other teachers who have encouraged their students.

But, all of that really leads up to the question, what would she think of my writing now? I won't say it's all hard-core pornography, but most of it is (although it has been suggested to me that I actually think about publishing main-stream). Is erotic literature the lowest common denominator?

I know it can be as beautiful and moving as any other form of literature, but does the purient nature detract from its merit?

Anyway, I'd like to think that she'd like my writing. A part of me hopes it might excite her (and I don't just mean as a teacher proud of her student).

Somehow, I don't think your English teacher expected you to be writing on Literotica.

I always enjoyed English composition, and I was usually pretty good at it, but I don't think any of my teachers would have encouraged me to write porn, expecially with little or no plot.
