What Will You Be

I'm not sure. Normally I don't dress up, so we'll see. My older girl is going to be a 'dark fairy' (goth fairy), my middle girl is going to be Hannah Montana, and my son is going to be Iron Man. I'm not real sure what we're going to be, though. Last year a nearby church had a carnival and the kids loved that.

I should mention that Halloween wasn't a big thing when I was a 9-5 working stiff. But at college, everybody dresses up and there are costume contests etc, so I got into it. Last year I just wore witchy clothes, black and purple falls, and white contacts:

Ooooh makes me wish I had some red contacts for this year. I love colored contacts but unfortunately nobody else likes to look at me when I'm wearing them! LOL

I don't know what I'm doing this year yet, we might have a party at beavers, to which I'm going to need to find an outfit lol.

i adore halloween, so i'm so glad we're doing something special this year. no costumes though, it's an erotic event, but it will be a masquerade...haven't yet decided what type of mask i'll wear...whether i'll go sexy, cutesy, scary or politically terrifying (me as hillary rodham in collar and corset? hmmmm).

also next weekend we're going to Kings Dominion to experience their halloween haunt..it better be scary, dag nabbit!

as far as trick or treating, the party is on saturday so i'm sure i'll be passing out candy to the kids on friday. unfortunately i seriously doubt Daddy's son will participate, as according to his mother's family halloween is "the devil's day," and for some reason he totally swallows that crap down and is always afraid to even acknowledge halloween.

I usually wear a leather hood with only eye holes, a graduation gown thingy, and white latex gloves with red paint on them. And wait for the kids to come knocking. Some are actually frightened.

Its my birthday on Halloween which is always fun. I tend to go Halloween crazy. Am going to have a party and go as a murderous doll..or something like that. Make a poofy white skirt, top, red sash and bow in my hair then splatter myself in blood and carry around a bloody cleaver all night! Plus I got some pink stay-ups with seams and bows on the back. Can't wait!

OMG soooooo jealous! I wonder if I can get my friends to go to Six Flags. Kings Dominion will be WAY better but I doubt my friends will want to go that far out of town. I even have a hard time getting them to visit me out in the suburbs! But they might do Six Flags since it's metro accessible (kinda).

Halloween is not quite the same here what it is in USA, but if there was some party going on, I would be an angel for sure. lol

I always go as an angel cos I have the get up already!

That or a cowgirl, cos I have that get up too lol.

Here are the images of our costumes we will be using for halloween. I am lucky enough to be able to purchase my costume- it will only require a bit of "mussing up" to make it more American McGee. (bloody pinafore, ripped/messy dress, striped stockings, and a butcher's knife) Unfortunately, Mike's costume will have to be hand-made, with the exception of the leather pants and possibly the green velvet jacket. We are looking for a good seamstress in the area to help us, but we are running out of time fast. I am getting pretty excited though- I can hardly wait.

( eta: well that is disappointing. The mad hatter image isn't wanting to show up. Keep trying it though.... it might pop back up. )

To tell the truth, being in college is why I'm not sure if I'll be dressing up. I don't want to stand out like a sore thumb, so I might end up dressing up at least a bit.

I wouldn't mind going as a gypsy. That'd be fun. Plus I have rudimentary palm reading skills.

It is getting to be that time of the year. Break out the bed sheets and pull out the masks- its Halloween time.

-So what will you be for Halloween? It looks like I'm going to be Little Red Riding Hood...for school we have to dress up as book characters..I think I can pull it off without feeling too silly
-Do you have any big plans for the night or will you be staying in and watching scary movies? I'm such a wuss...scary movies SCARE ME! We will be at home and I'm not sure what we will be doing
-Do you make your own costumes/fancy dress or do you rent/buy? I always wanted to buy one and honestly can't remember if I ever did. I think when I was a kid I had a costume bought that had something to do with She ra I think
-What are your favourite memories of Halloween from your youth? I can't remember much about Halloween..kind of weird. I loved the McDonalds pumpkin things for the Happy Meals and remember something about using a pillowcase. My parents never went with me but I went with other kids.
-What do you look forward to most this time each year? Doing fun activities with my class. I have to say though it's difficult to do now as we can't have anything related to Halloween lest we convert them all to witches or something. So instead we will have a candy quiz, a book character costume day and something related to pumpkins..no faces allowed though

Share your stories, plans and ideas with the rest of us so we can all get into the holiday spirit!
The one thing I'm excited about is the costume of the lil guy. He will be Yoda..like this http://www.brandsonsale.com/ca-006896.html

im not dressing up, but i am doing a program where they bring the local kids to the dorms to trick or treat (small college town means not safe for the little ones to trick or treat in town, too many parties that week). im signed up to give out candy so ill wear a costume to open the door for the trick or treaters.

i'm being rougue from ex men, i have the costume from this summer.

I always dress up at least a little, some years it is cat ears and a tail, sometimes just a witches hat, this year I am thinking renaissance costume. I go to ren faires at least twice a year and have the full costume.

We usually have 50-60 trick or treaters each year, I spend the night on my porch with laptop or book and pass out candy.

I love halloween and decorate my yard as a graveyard. :) I really miss the years my sis lived locally because she would turn her yard into a haunted house and invite all our friends over to have fun and man the haunted house. A lot of fond memories.

I hope everyone has a good All Hallows Eve!

Ooh, that'd be fun, too. I wonder if I could temporarily dye a white streak in my hair. Hm. . . .

I love Halloween, especially sexy costumes.

Last year I spent Halloween in a lab. :( The girl I was "getting to know" whore a mini skirt sailor outfit, and that night she hocked up with some asshole.

This year has got to be better, there is no way it can't be.

This Friday I am going to the ultimate in Halloween events, knots scary farm, I love that place. :D It has got to initiate my halloween mood, as well as present costume ideas.

Yup, no costume yet, and no party to go to either. Parties here usually pop up short notice, so I'm keeping my eye out.

And no trick or treaters here, they don't exist.
