I love posting just to see him LOL

Waltz?

There wasn't a band. But while we were waiting in a hallway at the courthouse to see the Justice of the Peace, we did get to see a group of prisoners chained together at the ankle, walking sideways up the hall while the P/A system played, "One...singular sensation, every little step she takes..."

That's so romantic... I think I might cry... ;)

I don't remember. I remember very little about my marriage.

And considering what I do remember, that's just as well.

No song, no reception, no guests, no dress, no tux

I highly recommend eloping. :D

No dancing at our reception. My inlaws would have had a cow. My mil was offended because we played Pop/Rock love songs as our before ceremony music instead of Christian music.

I didn't even walk down the aisle to the traditional wedding march. My bridesmaids walked down to an instrumental from a movie soundtrack, and I walked down to a sax melody.

Of all the times for a brain fart...or for the wife to not be around to pump for information. (Not that her memory tends to be any better than mine these days, but you never know.<g>)

We held a medieval feast for the reception, and had friends of ours conduct a handfasting since her ex drug his feet too long in getting the divorce paperwork signed and we couldn't legally get married on the day we'd reserved the hall for.

But no band or DJ, just a ghettoblaster type of boombox and a veritable treasure trove of cds. Friends took turns monitoring things and playing requests from other people, but I can't think for certain what we played first to kick things off.

It was either "How do I Live" or "Brown-eyed Girl", but I really don't recall which....

"When a Man Loves a Woman" by Percy Sledge.

I still love that song...

The closest thing to a waltz that we enjoyed for our wedding was the clinking and whirring of slot machines.

I am pretty sure they played a tape of the standard wedding song while we walked the aisle at least, but that was it for music...I should dig out the audio tape they gave us..

I still owe my beautiful bride an Elvis wedding though. Maybe our 10th anniversary.

I still love my song too...
Can't say as much for him though :p

and oxy, that's so sweet!!!!! Congrats on the 10 years :)

It was so long ago, I can't remember.

Honest !!!!

I remember my brother and his navy pals trying to get 'the groom' very very drunk.

They succeeded

Boy Meets Girl..."Waiting for A Star to Fall" and we had to bring our own copy of it....LOL.

waltz?

We didn't have one. I should of took the hint from the flat tire on my way to get there and just sat beside the road till it was over. Guess I was slow in getting that message. :D

No wait! I just remembered . . .

I was never married!

VB.. damn sometimes you just slay me!
ROFLMAO.

how i wish i could say the same thing.. however, we had no music.. no dancing.. a precursor of things to come?.. (enter the twilight zone)

however.. upon divorcing.. i decorated my car (Just Divorced) and went out dancing. the first song was.. Freedom by george michael.. requested by friends.:D

No dance...thank god. I can't imagine what hell it would have been for us to agree on one song. It was difficult enough to get him to agree to let me walk down the aisle to something other than that horrid wedding march thing.

Oh yeah, never shoulda had *that* wedding.
