First one...hmm.. Bad Company... We had to do some something with the song 'Shooting Star' in English class.. I liked it, and we went and found the CD.
A close second was AC/DC. I heard 'Shoot to Thrill' on the radio and thought it was a new band.My mom had a blast making fun of me for that, lol.
First CD that sort of actually shows my age? The album 'Load' ~ Metallica.
'Bleeding Me' is still my favorite song ever.![]()
One of the local bars used to have a bunch of Glen Miller on the jukebox. More than one younger lady has asked who the great new dance band was.![]()

Those "younger" ladies are pretty good dancers if you put a little dab of grease on the bottom of their walkers, Tex.
See? No fair, lol.
Limp Bizkit did a remake of 'Behind Blue Eyes'... my mom isn't much into rock business, so when she started singing it I about shit.
She messed with me for a couple days, then finally told me that it was a remake.Nothing like lookin' like an idiot!

No Ben, even though this is a retirement area, we do get some younger women around ever so often.
The walker crowd can usually make the younger ones mouths drop open when a "swing" song comes on.![]()
Around here, the 'walker crowd' ride motorcycles and/or drive old Vettes.![]()
Tape.
Milli Vanilli's Girl You Know It's True.
No way, that was mine too! I got that the same day I got Vanilla Ice- Ice Ice BabyHah! Me too. Though I figure the music was made by somebody, even if it's not the guys on the album cover. To tell the truth, I still like a couple of those songs.
Bon Jovi's Slippery When Wet on cassette. I'm not proud of it.
Does it make you feel better to know I still have that, also on cassette?![]()

I did the same thing with the same song with my daughter. Talk about your double takes.![]()
It will make you all happier to know my wife has seen Bon Jovi over two dozen times
Works the other way around, too. I enjoyed stringing my mom along with the Johnny Cash version of Hurt.
