Okay,

For valentines day I bough my girlfriend a tiffany heart braclet, but, how do you know what to engrave on it?
I want it to be memorable, but not corny...

Any ideas?

Okay, so this may sound corny, but it's a good example for your situation.

If we had the money and the desire to actually get it done, (so we're lazy and broke) the insides of our wedding rings would be engraved. Instead of the often-typical things, like our initials or the wedding date or whatever else, we would have had the following:

in mine -- forever
in his -- and ever

This is something that is incredibly meaningful to us and no one else, so it's what we would use. Why? Strange story. Once, when we were still dating, J and I were snuggling in bed, well on our way to sleep, when he said, "I love you." For some unknown reason, instead of telling him I loved him too, I simply responded with "forever". And, like it was scripted or something, he replied with "and ever". Being a smartass, I shot back "Amen" at him, and suddenly we had our own little saying that still gets used today.

Do you have something like this? Are there any pet names the two of you use for each other that are unusual? Is there something secret the two of you have shared? Why not have a code name for it engraved?

Think back on experiences, the unforgettable ones, that the two of you have shared. Then try to think of a unique way to present that experience to her, engraved on a beautiful bracelet.

I know *I* would love that.
