What the fuck is up with this? I have recently started a new job. The job is simple. Sell shit, make money.
The training is so fucking nonexistent that you would have to be damn Kreskin to figure out how to do shit. They aren't showing me enough of the systems to do the job on my own. So everytime I end with a sale it goes to the guy who suposedly knows it all. He goes through the sale in point two seconds not pausing to even let me catch a fucking glimps of how he did that and the fat bastard ends up with the money from my sweat and toil.
Second, the fucking call lists are like a preschooler drawing in a phone book. There is no damn good reason for calling any of these businesses and they get piss because your moron(oops boss) told you to call the places.
So today I get smart rather than calling all these stupid ass blind cold calls, I start calling some of our old customers that haven't bought anything from us for a while and customers that the last sales rep had as customers. Damn and holy shit but people actually are talking to me and I am building some report with these businesses. I figure these people at one time actually wanted to buy stuff from us and if we hadn't fucked up probably still would have. The old saying in business is "Take care of your customers or someone else will". It happened and we lost a shitload of good volume customers. And these people are now talking with me. It feels damn great.
So what happens, you ask? Well my boss looks over my call list at the end of the day and instead of noticing all the times I finally got customers on the phone and talking, he gives me shit for not going for the new customer base out there. Is he fucking mad? Has he smoked too much crack and burned out his last two working brain cells? I finally got people talking to me and committing to new orders and I am going in the wrong dirrection? Making money and protecting your existing customer base is a bad thing?
Fucking Bad Day,
Ezarc
