I'm not used to the General board here, but i have a question. Is there a good reason why you people are all thread happy? Like holy fuck, I will look at one thread with ten itsy bitsy little posts, cause no one on here actually says anything more than 5 words once they get past the first statement of a thread, and by the time I have read that one thread, I look again and the same thread, which I just opened only moments before, and its on the second page already!

Why in the bloody fuckin hell does there need to be a new thread for absolutely EVERY single random thought that goes through EVERY ones random brains?

I'm done bitching now, you can all go about your business as usual. Nothing to see here, move along.

There are many reasons why there are so many threads.
It would be difficult for us to follow different topics if
we only posted in one single really long thread that was
quite possible thousands of pages long.
Also some of us have really crappy computers so small threads make for quick opening.
Some of us are just thread happy too.
And yes I am a dork.

There are definitely more threads being started now than there were only a few weeks ago. Coming back onto the GB after an absence of about 35 hours, I was surprised to see 10 pages worth of new threads. But the board gets bigger all the time, so some of this is to be expected.

I've never once started a thread here. And now, I'm sort of afraid to...

Good fucking question!!!! I know of a couple of people, who will remain nameless, (temp+alcohol=your clue) who starts about a dozen threads a day, just to be a pest. I think he's looking for any attention he can get. Yesterday I started a thread asking him why he does this, but even he didn't have a straight answer.

at the beginning of the year, a "new thread" stayed on the front page for several hours, 3-4. Now they are gone within 30 minutes of being started, sometimes faster.

Lots of people posting = lots of new threads
