Well if I can give you and your SO some advice. Enjoy every moment that you can, spend as much time as you can with your child. The time goes by so fast and you can never get it back. Children learn love from their parents.

we've got the love down, and we both find television stupid so junior won't be watching it ....nope, unfortunately, he's going to have to spend a lot of quality time with mommy and daddy...playing outdoors and learning to read and build rocket ships
;)

my son is gonna hate me, lol

Apparently a lot of boring ass motherfuckers who think we give a shit about every moment of their boring lives have found the posting buttons.

Use your instincts on the TV thing, and everything else. The kid will benefit from the time more then anything. Power Ranger type stuff happens. Sports are the best things for kids. Completive or non it makes no difference. From team sports to rock climbing makes no difference. It teaches them accomplishment, helps them think, and keeps them active.
