We did Christmas with my parents Saturday.......in Atlanta.
Tomorrow we do Christmas with my sister/hubby/nephew in the afternoon when he returns from his bio dad's house.

So tonight my SO is at her parents house doing their family X-Mas with the 50 million family members and I am at home all alone. Enjoying some solitude.

Santa came early!!

Since I have to work tomorrow we did the present thing this evening. My sis, her ex b/f, my girls, and I all opened our gifts. The girls are busy exploring their new treasures (with my sis's ex), my sis is snuggled under the blankets watchin TV, and I... well I'm trying to work my new toy!!! woooooooooohooooo the kitty got a video cam!!! hehe man i luv santa!!

Well, I'm mone because I've done all my Christmasing with family and kids the last two days.


I'm back in town after a whiriwind international tour. After spending the 22nd and 23rd with my babies, having a wonderful couple of days, I headed back home the night of the 23rd.

Then, the transmission broke in my car, making my front wheels lock up solid. So, my car's in NY state and I had to spend pretty much the last of a meager bank account on a hotel room for the night and a rental car to get home (and back a week alter, to drop off the car). So, given some creative money-making this week, I'll be arranging to have my car fixed and be going up there New Year's weekend to pick it up.

But that doesn't matter. I made it in town tonight to spend Christmas with my family. My Dad, who is by my means an incurable romantic, gave my Mom a brand new solid gold wedding band. To see the look when she opened that gift, and his look to her as she did, was worthevery effort.

Isn't it wonderful when gifts actually mean something to the recipient? My Dad cried today when he opened the gift from my sister and me. That was more special than the gifts I received.


Now, I'm playing Santa and putting my nephews gifts under the tree. I won't even mind him waking me at the crack of dawn.
