Why do you have to log out and log back in just to post a new thread???

This is what happend. I didn't log in cause I know how long it was going to take me to whrite the post that I was writting. then when I go to log in at the top of the post and send it... I just kept getting that the password was not associated with my name... did this 6 times.... so then I copied the message that I had written and then logged my self out and then back in just to post... why is that??

Do you have WEB-TV, or some other Satanic
machine of simplicity?

God Bless You, and Merry Christmas

Yeah, but more than one person uses the comp in question to post to Lit, or so I gather, so cookies would probably be a pain in the ass

there are 4 people fighting for the computer here... so the cookies is not going to work... I'm just wondering why I couldn't just go onto the site and sign in at the top of the page, where it says you can log in and a place for your password, but it wouldn't let me post as myself..

There is apparently a bug in the newest version of the BB software for the login before submitting link.

Try using the right-mouse-button with the option to "open in a new window". Then if you are logged out, you can just hit the window that is behind your reply and log in. (You can also use this to refresh and adjust your response to the newest posts in a very hot thread.)
