What's happened to my signature? For some reason, Lit has decided to star out the letters B r i t t wherever it sees it.

Is there a troll issue or something that I'm not aware of? Is B r i t t such a rude word in a foreign language that it's banned from a board that allows the word cunt?

What's going on?

Of course, I myself, being the skilled person I am, know of a dodge around it (check signature). But it's still odd.

Just asked computer geeky hubby and he says he can't think of any reason it wouldn't be allowed..so it's a weird one...I'd PM Laurel and ask *L*

At the risk of getting sent to the tower, perhaps lit has taken the line that *****ish is a naughty word? ;)

Oooh, let me try!

*****

(I feel so naughty, somehow.)

But...

"brítt"

An accented i? Interesting technique. My dodge involves the knowledge of how word filters work. I'll tell people if I hear from Laurel that it's a quirk in the software rather than a actual ban on the word Bri tt.

I know there are a few strings of numbers that are banned as well - and this causes trouble with stories' and authors' links from time to time - but that goes back to an incident where someone in GB was posting someone's telephone numbers.

I think the site is tryin to protect you Earl, they added it into the security system, see, when you say B r i t t in pig latin, while speakin portuguese, it translates roughly to "Earl is easy".

Have a banana :nana:

I think the birds in the trees are singing "earl is easy,"
Every little breeze seems to whisper it.

The secret, in short, is on the street.

:)

Do those numbers still do the asterisk disguise, Lauren?

I think the numbers' ban was reset when the board was upgraded. All of them seem to be working now. :)
