Uploading from Word does not have to take any longer than cutting and pasting, FYI. I know the submission guidelines say uploading may delay posting, but there's no technical reason for that: I once had a contest entry posted the same day I submitted it.

I suspect the uploads do go to the back of the queue, hence the delay... but if there's a reason for Laurel to expedite them, like a contest entry, they too can get posted lickety-split.
