Got my “garden” (if you can call it that) started late, so it’s a sad, sad thing this year. I have hopes for a possible fall recovery, but I need to get more tomatoes in the ground asap. Couldn’t find you thread, but then again, didn’t look too hard.

My tomatoes went to Hell this summer. Too hot. Cukes, too. So I'm harvesting sweet potatoes and okra. Grapes are turning purple.

I read Styron's memoir about his battle with depression years ago, and although it was pretty dark from what I remember, I was glad I read it.
I think I've seen this video before and it's a good one. The issue though, to me, is that although Styron or anyone can write about something they are passionate about, there is a huge difference in writing about an issue from the perspective of actually having lived it and/or experiencing the ramifications of it. This is no way negates his right to write about the subject, or negates his opinions about it.
