I love eggplant...the lovely smooth deep purple skin.... and tastes good too...

but Birds of Paradise have always scared the socks off me .... I used to run past them as a kid... always looking like they were going to bite you... HARD...

Kotori, these people are speaking up about their innermost fears. Why would you want to knock them down when they're this vulnerable? Besides, vegetable can too bite you back! Their bites are not the little nibbles that you may have in mind, but rather cut deeper and bite harder in places where it really hurts: in our psyche and in our gastrointestinal systems.
