Does anyone else remember Grunge Rock?

Early Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Green Jelly, Ugly Kid Joe, early Stone Temple Pilots, Puddle of Mudd, and even SilverChair?
I feel like I have dated myself, but I will still gladly headbang to these guys every time, along with the modern Hard Rock/Metal of Slipknot, KoRn, Deftones, Fear Factory and Tool!
