What makes you tick?

Have you ever noticed that your writing productivity depends on so many external factors? It makes you have great respect for those you can write story after story thoughout their lives. Our how about comic artists like Gary Trudeau who have to come up with an entertaining comic each and every day.

Me? Sometimes it's a test of willpower just to put three sentences down on paper. This can go on for months. Then other times, I'm banging away at the keyboard, and I have to drag myself away so that I don't get fired from my real job.

That's why I'm here at the moment. I'm trying to work on my next story and my mind keeps wandering off.

But don't worry. It's so sick it never gets very far.

Seriously, I'm like you Couture. Sometimes I get so into a story, I can't stop writing. Other times, words come out at a Chinese water torture pace.

So I'm trying to teach myself enough discipline that I can write whether I'm inspired or not. Because the stories are there. I'm just so lazy sometimes.

Strangely enough I have noticed that the less sex I get, the more I write. Hmmmmmmmmmm, I won't be giving up one for the other any time soon.
