What makes for a romantic evening

I know that there are alot of romantics here on LIT. What do you think makes for a nice romantic evening.

For me there are several things and they change from time to time but here are a few, I'm sure I will forget somethng so please post and let me know what you think makes for a romantic evening.....


* I LOVE lots of candles
* flowers
* Eric Clapton playing on the stereo
* quiet dinner with the man I am with
* LOTS of kisses, hugs, caresses, whispering sweet nothings in my ear, long relaxing massages for both him and me
* Showering together
* Slow, gentle lovemaking
* Bottle of Asti Spimonti and fresh fruit to feed to each other while cuddling

Anyone else?

The absolute requirement is a sexy, romantic partner. I prefer one who's into lots of teasing, lingering caresses, and extended foreplay.

Music is a must. (Clapton is a great choice, especially "Wonderful Toight" or any of his blues.) Jazz, blues, soft rock.

A fire in a fireplace is a plus. Candles are needed.

Good food, but light fare. Don't want to get too full. It makes sex less comfortable.

A bottle of Asti Spumate always helps set a romantic atmosphere.

WOW!!! Just posting this has me ready for such a night. I need to go find the perfect partner!!!

Hmmm, a romantic evening...

I'll have to think about this one Ahhh, longer enough

. I would have to involve a very special lady friend in my life.
. A beautiful stretch of deserted beach and gorgeous sunset.
. The soft sounds of the waves crashing on the beach and the
gentle cries of gulls in the distance.
. Plenty of GOOD champagne chilled to perfection and crystal
glasses.
. A good supply of chilled chocolate covered fresh strawberrys.
. A large off white beach blanket.
. Holding her in my arms . Cuddling tightly together. Kissing one
another gently and caressing each other. Creating that fire of
passion
. As darkness descend build a small camp fire on the beach.
. Then get completely undressed and make love together for
hours on end to the warm flickering fire light
. As two exhausted animals fall asleep in one another arms. Are
bodies locked together until the morning sunrise

but here is mine.
FIRST~MUST have partner(Artful's Dream for me)
2~A woodsy area, with a large log cabin sitting in the middle of a small clearing.
3~A master bedroom with a sturdy,luxurious, four poster king sized bed equipped with bondage fastenings.
4~A double door entranceway, that is aligned so that the fireplace can be viewed through the large glass panes that make up the doors themselves,from the bed.
5~The dining table set a bit to the side in the front room, still yet affording a clear view of the bed and the flame filled fireplace. Also being in front of a large plate glass window, to be able to view the large, but lightly falling snowflakes in the soft glowing moonlight outside.
6~A light fare of finger food, fruits and cheeses
7~A chilled bottle of Asti Spumanti(or fav wine)
8~Lit candles scattered throughout cabin(Jasmine)
9~Bouquets of her favorite flowers placed throughout the cabin.
10~A large chest filled with toys, variously scented oils, restraints, spreader bars, costumes etc.
11~A massive stereo system

The evening would begin as we watched the sunset subside, the snow clouds lazily drifting in, while we chatted lightly at the table. Enjoying the sweet meats and finger foods, while listening to the soft, low moanings, of a saxophone. Followed by some soft bluesy Eric Clapton, with the finale being a savage music,filled with deep african drum beats, sprinkled lightly with tones of tinkling silver bells.
