Did you just go there? You didn't just go there? You went there.
All the professional poster painters prefer-- 1 shot. Now let's paste up the brick walls tonight.Yep. She did. You would think that after 60+ years, she would go with something less 1940ish, right?

Maybe you would be a good sign maker, it's the kind of job that utilizes a variety of talents.I have never been tasked with such a duty as sign painting. Actually pretty amazing considering the broad range of miscellaneous stuff I have to do at the spur of the moment. Many that are not what one thinks about in their every day lives, yet essential to the job at hand.
Is poster painting a specialty of sorts?
Many times I have seen a sign and thought "That could have been different, it does not fit the situation, or that the sign painting is perfect." Yet, I rarely discuss it with anyone.

Poster painting is not a specialty on it's own, but it belongs in the sign maker family. Posters and signs are rarely lettered with paint these days in commercial shops. It's just not practical, time wise. The paint is of course still utilized on walls, sign boards, light boxes, boats, and pinstripes, etc.
I also look at signs when I am driving down the road. I admire the nice work of others, and cry over the un-readable, the signs with no negative space.
That's funny. I get bored easily when I drive. So I compare signs or billboards against each other. It is the older less elaborate ones I pay more attention to. They require more creativity and attention to detail.![]()

No.
It's about quality of paper, registration of elements... you know... just like in real life.

AFter doing a great deal of study on Busybody, JamesbJohnson and the Jens I can't completely isolate what makes a poster special. I do know that it involves a lot of anger and usually posting nonsense.
