What made you decide...

To post pictures to begin with on the Am Pic board?

I'm curious about everyone's answers - was it your idea, your SO's...have you managed to accomplish what you set out to do with your thread, or are you still trying?

I'll answer in awhile, but thought I'd start a new topic while it mightn't get lost in the sea of topics that should be here soon enough....I guess it's kinda like having a clean piece of paper and a new pen - I've got to write/doodle something.

I actually started to post pics here as a booster to my self esteem. I lived for 9 years married to a man who consistantly told me how much of a chore, an unpleasant one it was to fuck me. ... Told repeatedly how unattractive I was. I believed this. To some degree, the thoughts still find their way to my mind, especially at first, when someone compliments me, I start thinking... "wow, some people are just being nice because they think I'm truly homely!"

But...from what I can tell, and of course this is the net, people can say or be whatever and who ever they want, but most that have spoken to me have been kind and considerate. I don't sit waiting for compliments, but I do like the encouragement. I've never felt so sensual or sexy as I do since I started posting here.

So, yes, my thread has helped me a great deal. My Master is the one who first encouraged me to do this, and I am thankful for that each day.

goodness, *hugs* to you for having to endure such emotional abuse. I remember in the heat of an argument with my stepfather, while I was growing up he said' no wonder you're not with anyone...who would want you?'....and although I've long since come to recognize him as anything but the voice of reason, it still stings that he felt justified in saying it.

The comments and conversations that develop here certainly are encouraging, aren't they? I'm not generally much for striking up conversations with strangers on the street or anything, but I've found that I do feel a little more friendly towards people I don't know lately, and I'm not sure if it's that I'm feeling better about myself lately, or that I'm just becoming more accustomed to chit-chatting with new people.

Thank you for sharing your reason, R_S....I'm certainly glad that you found the courage to post your pictures, and that you have such a loving Master to support you along the way

Mine was sort of the same as R_S... I needed some confidence and definitely found it here on Lit. There are some really, really nice people here on the AP forum and I'm really glad that I almost now use it as my GB, lol. And also, I just love getting guys (and gals, hehe) all hot and bothered!

hee...I think that we're probably going to find that all of our reasons overlap a bit...because I agree that there are a *whole* lot of very nice people here...and I think that this new board has a lot of potential.....and heh, yeah, there's something about the hot & botheredness that seems to occur here and there, isn't there?
