I was reading through peoples lists on Napster and I came across a song by Styx. I loved their music growing up, except the Mr Roboto album.

So far I have down loaded The Best of Times, Show Me the Way, Rockin the Paradise and Sailing Away. I loved The Paradise Theater album, knew every song by heart.

I could be up all night down loading their songs.

I have every Rush album on CD, they still get me going..........just good ole fashion rock that kicks. Remember seeing them live on more than one occasion.

Don't shoot me for this but...ABBA.

Now Tony if my door bell rings in a few minutes and there is a group of Lit posters sent by the council to screw my brains out all is forgiven and you will not be teased about it, but don't tell me I moved the coffee table and vacuumed for nothing, you could be in big trouble ;)

Can we spank you for it instead?

Credence Clearwater Revival, some of the best music ever. I've worn out two tapes the last three years on my bike. Ain't nothing like cranking the tunes up, cranking the throttle open and blasting down the road offending people wtih the loudness of the music. Damn near as good as sex. Damn near.

Thin Lizzy! One of my favorite songs of all time is "Cold Sweat." WNEW's Saturday Night Rocks radio show played it the other night, and I almost bounced off the walls!

Well, long ago? Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw, the Dorseys . . .

In the Mood still gets me, er, in the mood.

CL, Milady, I'm impressed. I would add Sammy Kaye to your list and I didn't think of Atrie.

Ack. I forgot Sammy Kaye!

My parents used to play this stuff for hours and hours. Even when my dad was close to end-stage Alzheimer's, he would still whistle and sing along to those recordings.

Anyway, when someone starts a thread about old bands, I thought I'd better memorialize the old bands. I miss Tesla, though.

Abba? Duran Duran? I gotcha beat---

The Carpenters--

You gotta admit, the girl’s voice was smooooooth--as cream, as chocolate, as velvet…

and the Doobies

Mississippi moon, won't ya keep on smilin on me?"

The two girls that shack with me have me hooked on The Moody Blues. We share a couple of reefers and fuck our brains out while listening to "Nights in White Satin"...

CCR, Eagles, BTO, Lynard Skynard, Blood, Sweat & Tears, ZZ Top, Fleetwood Mac...

The Doors. Jim Morrison was the King of all poets. I bow humbly to his greatness.

Never heard of any of these,

There is only two bands that ever recorded as far as I know, Van Halen, and AC/DC. The rest are just figments of your imagination. Although that RUSH guy was pretty good.
