i'll be honest... i don't think he really DOES carry a trout with him. i think it's all part of some sinister scheme to make us feel threatened. a bluff you might say. people thought andy griffith didn't carry a gun in mayberry. well, i don't buy that one either.

i mean, c'mon, has anyone actually SEEN this alleged fish? a parallel story for illustration... i often talk about my small penis and the lack of sex. anyone can clearly see that i'm rather well endowed and i get laid plenty. it's misdirection i tell ya.

I feel Silver has duped us all, from my research there could only be one type of fish that he is using, unfortunately he appears to have deliberately led us astray with his trout story. The fish in question is very rare and is classified as an endangered species.
