what kind of movies irritate you

I once sat through a film called "A handfull of dust" with a girl once and it was so bad that half way through I leaned over to her and told her that she'd better let me fuck her in the ass for making watch this or I'll never talk to her again, she laughed so hard pepsi shot out of her nose and soaked the guy in front.

you better believe it, by the end of the film I was ready to eat a handfull of dust just to not have seen the damn thing, and you know whats worse, I'll never get that time back I've wasted a part of my life and it's gone gone gone gone gone gone gone gone gone gone gone gone gone gone gone gone gone gone gone gone gone gone gone .................

I've sat thru some really really boring films so i empathize.....

Like Good Will Hunting!

Never seen that one and now from what you've said I don't think I want to, thanks for the heads up.

Any movie that is the umpteenth sequel to ANYTHING.....

At some point, sometime...all good movie plots must be relegated to the memory closet to be pulled out and treasured every once in awhile! Just let it go or else it ruins the memories of the good movie that started it all.

You can write fiction about any damn thing you like, because its not real. But all too often they get passed off as history (anything with Mel Gibson fighting the English, it seems). Too many people think that these are real events. In fact, this is a form of advertising for the film. "This is what really happened."

And it's been going on for a long time. Shakespeare's Richard the Third coloured the historic Richard for a long time, despite being basically a piece of late Tudor propaganda.

Any movie whos leading actor is a former cast member of SNL. Most of them are pointless. There are only a few out of the bunch that I liked. Austin Powers, Wayne's World 1, and The Wedding Singer come to mind. Most of the others weren't worth watching, and the rest (like Ladie's Man and Joe Dirt), I didn't even bother to watch.

Movies that irritate me are the ones that are really good... then have the worst endings possible.

Anything with Shirley Temple and Bette Davis. I also can't stand most in the hood style african american centric movies. I don't relate, it's like watching the japanese version of lawrence of arabia with chinese subtitles. I just don't get it. Like Friday. That wasn't funny, it was incomprehensible. Seinfeld is beyond me too and I can't wait until Friends meets the Summer of Sam or maybe the Boston Strangler of tv sitcoms. I also find myself irritated at movies like Metro. Oh my gawd what they did to that poor defenseless Dodge. What did that truck ever do to Eddie Murphy to deserve THAT??????

almost any Spielberg flick

I recently saw "A.I" and for me, it's running a close contest with "Battlefield Earth" for the worst movie of the past 10 years. I can't believe I shelled out 9 bucks for that drivel. Maybe I just don't get sci-fi or something....

Trust me, I get sci-fi, and I hated AI. Totally not what I expected. It's not really even a sci-fi movie. They dressed up an emotional story with sci-fi themes. I can't stand that. Also, Battlefield Earth was a terrible movie, but I had to watch it because the book is great and nothing like the movie, thank God.

thank you!

I'm glad it's not just me. I think "A.I." was laden with some kind of symbolism I just didn't get. Stanley Kubrick originally developed the concept for the movie, which might explain it. Most of his flicks go over my head, or around it, or something.

Another thing I hate is when movies mislead you with the previews. "All the Pretty Horses" was portrayed as a love story between Matt Damon and Penelope Cruz in the previews, and in the movie it was almost a minor subplot. Anything to sell tickets, I guess.....

i liked good will hunting . i thought it was an original plot with good dialogue . but i do see how it can wear on some people . it's not for everyone , that's for sure . but then again name one movie that is universally loved? i know i can't .

Movies that people talk though at the theater irritate the shit out of me.

I pay good money to see a crapy movie damn it! lol

Stay quiet!

What irrites me, BUT!!!!

I gotta love for it's pointlessness, and drop dead humor, are Horror movies that are just for gore and stupidity, and not to actually scare people. I can't remember the last time I saw a horror movie that was scary. IN the theater, that is.

For all those historians

For the people that HATE hollywood films based on actual events, obviously you havn't seen 13 days. I'm only half through the DVD, and LOVE IT!!!!!!! Kevin Costner hasn't been this good in a while.
