do you have?
Lottery winner finally comes forward
This man has got to be one of the luckiest people I've heard of. Not to mention one of the dumbest! I am having difficulty with the series of events in this story - I still haven't figured out:
- why he never checked his ticket the day of (or after) the particular drawing a year ago.
- why did he save these tickets and stuff them in a drawer this whole time?
- what in blue blazes was he thinking by mailing the ticket to the lottery commission? And why didn't he send it certified? Hey, even his wife says she thought he was crazy when he told her what he'd done! I can't believe he didn't hold tight to it and take it there in person.
Obviously, he has the last laugh now ($1.7 mill/year for next 20 years) but still, what a chance to take! Nerves of steel. Brains of mush!
What kind of luck do you have? Ever won anything? I admit I fare much better at games of skill rather than games of chance.
