What kind of a moron proposes or votes for a law banning all sodomy?

"Last month, a Louisiana appeals court upheld that state’s 197-year-old law banning all oral and anal sex."

"Sodomy is defined as abnormal sex, in some states including anal and oral sex. Nine states ban consensual sodomy for everyone: Alabama, Florida, Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Utah and Virginia. In addition, Texas, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma punish only homosexual sodomy."

" States argue that the laws, some dating back more than 100 years, are intended to preserve public morals. The laws are rarely enforced.

seems that the laws need changing...have they bothered to turn on the tv latley:D

It wouldn't be as much fun if it was legal :)

If people want to change things then they have to protest. They need to organise a thousand people or more to get naked in the streets and have oral and anal sex all day. And keep protesting until it works.

Faggots need dealt with, this law might help

Regardless of how much I disagree with that opinion, in nine of these states, the law applies to everyone, not just same sex couples.

We were settled by anti-slavery Bible-Thumping Europeans.

That's who. It was Early in the 1800's. That stuff was ONLY legal in Paris...

The US Supreme Court has agreed to hear an appeal of the Texas law. It was changed approximately 30 years ago from all sodomy to just same-sex. We should have a decission by Spring.

If the laws are rarely enforced, then get on to another topic. There are many laws on the books both at the federal and state level, that are ancient and out of touch with reality. Our legislators have a difficult time dealing with he present so have time to clean up somebody else's messes.

These laws are selectively enforced, mostly in order to harass people - and not just to harass homosexuals, either.
