What Is Your Worst Fear?

Hi, I am new to this site... luv the way it gives me "food for thought"!

Here is something to think about: WHAT IS YOUR WORST FEAR? Is it about your career, family, sex life, etc. Our fears will change, as we mature and evolve!

My greatest fear has to do with my career! After more than ten years of success in my field... I was neither recognized or financially compensated for my accomplishments. Within the last year, I began working for a new company that valued my accomplishments and I was quickly promoted. I now have the responsibility and a financial compensation package that I had only dreamed of! I fear that this will change... my industry is constantly evolving, will my company adapt to the changes, could my company be sold?

At this point in your life..... what do you fear the most?

I fear that I wont be able to take care of my child. That since I'm on my own I'm going to fuck things up and he's going to end up messed up.

I suppose I have some fears.. the worst being that I will be alone in my old age. My kids are grown and almost gone. I have the freedom I always needed to grow and evolve.. BUT am I using it wisely?? WEll i suppose if I am alone... I will be the sexiest grams in the nursing home LOL

Hi Robert!
My greatest fear is of something happening to one of my babies. By 'babies' I refer to my grown children and my grandchildren. I'm afraid I have become over-protective with all of the kidnappings I hear about lately. I probably drive them crazy, but I always know where they are and who they are with!

I have a phobia as well, yup, I'm a messed up unit and that is of falling. Not a fear of heights, just of falling.

I have many fears, but the only one right now is that I may die before finishing the Absolut sitting in front of me...

Lets see, last time I had a drink was in June... don't keep the stuff in the house, trying to raise drug-free kids as a single parent.

I'll come back another time to post real fears. Just happy to be here, and thanks for offering this thread!

Hi Hansuminla, and welcome to LIT

I have gotten "braver" as I've grown older, and fears do change (thank goodness!). However, my fear is similar to yours:

I had worked almost 30 years in a law firm (I'm not a lawyer), and was let go over two years ago! Since that time a lot of my life has changed (mostly for the better!), yet I have been unable to get back into the workforce.

Fortunately, a miracle has occurred and I am in the process of moving away from NYC, and heading to the Midwest to be with my lover!

However, I still have the fear that once I'm there, I'll still be unable to get a job that I'll be able to handle after this "burn out" period.

Firstly .... Welcome To Lit hansuminla

I'm with the other parents on my fear being something happening to my precious child.

I don't know what direction my life is taking or what direction I really want to go in .... whether I'm going to go to college at my age in life. I fear being able to support my child and myself now that I am on my own.

I also have a huge fear of snakes *shudder*

Sheesh, I have so many fears, ranging from being caught in a fire, to anything happening to my nieces and nephews, to never being healthy and mobile (those of u who know me, know what I'm talking about). I think my biggest fear would have to be permanently alone and unable to support myself. I have no kids and much to my dismay, I don't think kids are in my future. I'm not married, and have no prospects. I don't want to be alone forever. I'm on disablity, which doesn't give me enough money to survive. What will happen to me when I'm the little old lady with all the cats??

NO fears about sex?? no I dont think so..Maybe about self.. that is not really a fear tho. more like a concern.. what if I am not pretty enough? What if I am not thin enough? What if I never firm up? OK these are not fears.. as most can accept a few faults.. if the person is genuine and the Chem is there..After all its the smoky look in the eyes, the fresh clean smell, the salty or tangy tastes. The blushes and smiles and the sound of someone whispering to you. .... Its like dancing with someone.. the more you do it the better you read them.
