What is wrong with this Lit system?

Why is it that everyone else who uses this code in their sig area:

[ img] http://www.feebleminds-gifs.com/tongue1dark.gif [ /img] (minus the spaces)
gets an actual picture in their .sig, but when *I* use that same code, I get exactly the mess you see in my sig line now?

Why?

Why can't this thing be consistent?

<img> tags work in the .sig where they don't work in the post itself.

I see the red lips of a mouth with a (whoa there) tongue licking p and down. On black. Correct, no?

Maybe one of those weird things on your end, where it's updated on the Lit server, but your temporary files have it as some messed up gif, and your browser is refusing to refresh it.

In other words, I dunno. Clear your tracks and try again?
