Depend on who you are.

If you’re a corrupt individual that seeks to exploit the lapse in law enforcement and regulatory oversight, or an enemy of the United States (foreign and domestic) that wants to weaken the federal government and the economy for various purposes, then a shut down is probably seen as nothing but positive (Pro) - If you’re a decent, law abiding, patriotic individual, then you see a shut down as just the opposite and nothing but negative.(Con).

Well...depends on which side of the tracks you sit Adrina. It moves us one day closer to the inevitable end. One that makes me sad...but yet...it is inevitable. So really it becomes about acceptance. I personally would rather face this inevitability knowing the outcome...by planning for it the best we can...while praying it never comes to be...but people like you think we should just keep doing the same and run like a lemming off the cliff if it does happen.

So is there a positive? Sure. Argue for your limitations and so they shall be yours. If all you argue for is a broken system fixing itself....that is what we will have...a broken system. Fortunately, not every State will view it that way.
