What is the worst gift you ever received?

I got a tackle box and waders from my ex the first Christmas after we married. Funny thing is.. thats exactly what I gave to him.

A lotion and soap gift pack, but I could tell it was really old and had been re-gifted.

LOL.. I bought him the waders and tackle box because he dropped enormous hints all over the place. I actually think he got them for me thinking I wouldn't get him his, then he could take back my size 6 waders and trade them in for his size 12. Unfortunately sexy lingerie gifts went out the window as soon as the vows were said.

one christmas my parents gave me the Wonder Woman and Nubia dolls i wanted but they made a mistake and got me the 12" tall models instead of the 8" tall ones and they didn't scale with the rest of my Justice League collection.

i was so pissed.

As our family is scattered, Christmas a few years back is when the announcement of one person's serious progressively degenerative health issue was made. Kinda cast a pall over the rest of the day. Had to be discussed, but not the best "holiday gift".

Not used, just an old gift pack that had lost it's smell.
Of course I still smiled and thanked the person.

Kind of like when grandma wraps up and gives stuff that she's had around for years.

You should have seen the bathrobe he gave me the next christmas, brown and grey indian blanket print with a fuzzy brown collar. It reminded me of my grandpa. I swear everytime I wore it I could smell whiskey and cigarettes.

Hmmm, I have this new bedroom I'm adding to the house, it will need to be "christened" ... maybe VS should provide your wardrobe???? (quickly rewrites addition budget to allow for this)
