What is the purpose of a party?

I don't understand why people go to parties, especially in college. These events include the following.

*Loud music
*Alcohol
*Drugs
*Sex and sometimes rape of young women

These are all things that I absolutely despise. I would not go to a party because I would NOT be amused. Large herds of college students are forced to drop out because they refuse to do their coursework as they are too busy being silly and attending "parties".

I have dramatically decreased sex drive due to various psychological/psychosomatic causes. I could care less about sex, dating, or relationships.

If I learned news that someone was giving me one billion dollars, I would be completely indifferent and not display any kind of emotion whatsoever.

I doubt that I would even blink.
