What is the best way to submit part II?

I may have missed this in F.A.Q., and if it’s obvious, excuse my inability to follow instructions. I submitted a story last week that was accepted. The feedback was positive and readers asked for a part II. Part II is now finished. Question is: What is the best way to assist readers in finding and reading Part I prior to Part II?

Thanks

Adrian

Put a note at the beginning of your story saying it's part 2 of such and such story....they should be bright enough to do the rest. :)

Agreed. :)

I agree as well, and if three people all agree on it, and they're the only 3, it should work :)

You could also title the story in a way as to indicate that there is a previous part. For example: My Hot Story Part II or My Hot Story Ch. 02

Also a good point... although personally, I don't find it as asthetically pleasing if the first part isn't called Ch.01, and then there's suddenly a Ch.02. Part II I think would be better in that case.

Am I making sense? Well either way, I think the above mentioned are pretty much your options.

That's when you say thanks ;)

Making sense or not, Jen, in your case it's not important. Your AV is so distracting that we forgive you anything. :D

Aww

Part II-another question

Thanks again-

Extending this advice-another question arises: If the powers that be would allow, might it be possible to add a link, at the top of part II, directing readers to Part I? Or would the powers that be, crack your fingers with the cyber equivalent of a ruler?

Hmm, I'm not sure. I think links within Literotica are allowed within stories. Then again, don't bet your life on this because I'm not sure at all. You're best off trying, and if it gets rejected because of it, just try again. The editors probably won't set their cat on you for trying. :)

All that you can do is put a paragraph at the start of chapter 2 saying something like:

If you haven't read Chapter 1 this won't mean a thing.

No links whatever are allowed in Lit stories, see Submission Guidelines

9. No HTML links or web addresses are allowed within stories.

I've seen it done before though. So there are exceptions and I'm not completely wrong ;)

Links within Lit are allowed. I've used them and know of many others who have as well. I think the ban on links listed in the submission guidelines only applies to external links.

Right you are. There is no problem with internal linlks--Lit is merely preventing links to external sites.
