The answer is obvious- sexual intercourse with a man inserting his penis into a womens vagina . What do you think the definition of normal should be?

Normal is relative. Its whatever you and your partner agree is enjoyable and doesn't hurt a third party.

By your definition, normal is straight vanilla sex without even an oral component. You might call it normal, others might call it boring. What is normal for you is fine for you. Just do not attempt to force your version of normal down our throats. If you want straight vanilla sex in your bedroom you're welcome to it. But you have no say about what goes on in other peoples bedrooms or any other room for that matter. :D

msbator,

Let me begin by suggesting that you are by no means the first person to ask this question. Not even from the perspective you are asking it from.

Just last week on this forum we had a good discussion of the very same question. Here is a link to that thread. Read this and then come back to ask more if you still have questions.

"Normal" sex

I think there shouldn't be any sort of definition of 'normal' 'cause everyone has his own definition.

A couple of things re your question and the earlier discussion. Normal, as was pointed out earlier, is a statistical term that has been applied to the much vaguer area of social mores or ideas of good and bad, right and wrong, and so forth. It doens't have to do with what's acceptable to the individual, or what is practiced within a particular group--people into stuffies, or into various forms of fetish. I think everyone, or most everyone, knows the range of sexual practices that are generally endorsed in heterosexual relationships. The gray areas begin where one introduces an object into the usual practices of flesh on flesh. Is it normal to masturbate while reading messages on lit board? Is it normal to have sex in a latex outfit, or to insert a vibrator in one's orifice... Lots of confusion because of technology.

Of course, rape, and anything that is obviously painful, or unsanitary (various Sadean forms of humiliation with shit and such), or bestial, or exploitive of children, would be generally thought abnormal.

For those who have appointed themselves to define 'normal' in the context of sex...

I invite you to venture here.

Perhaps I should recommend the lady try the cheesy pick-up lines thread. ;) It has a noble vintage and a fine nose.
